UN chief Ban Ki-moon and Mayor Bloomberg announced plans to launch
"Climate Week NYC" to highlight the UN summit in September to make
progress on global climate negotiations and galvanize public support for
a landmark global warming treaty by year's end. The event, to be held
September 21-25, will feature five days of cultural events, workshops,
seminars, and other activities organized by non-governmental
organizations, businesses, artists, and academia.
