Climate Action Toolkit Workshop

Join us for a presentation and workshop with Sustainable Hudson Valley’s Executive Director Melissa Everett, Ph.D. A free forum on key actions for our communities and the region. To break out of the climate crisis and maintain a livable world for the next generation, there is work to be done. Some of the solutions are obvious. Some will surprise you.

New York has made a commitment to decarbonizing the entire economy in the coming decades – a momumental task and opportunity for innovation. Sustainable Hudson Valley has developed a Regional Climate Action Road Map and Tool Kit to help governments, businesses, institutions and entire communities to chart their course into sustainable operations. With over 90 experts and interested parties contributing, this resource is being published at the beginning of 2023.

Clean Power Guide Launch Event

To celebrate the launch and publishing of the fifth annual Clean Power Guide, Sustainable Hudson Valley and Chronogram Media are hosting a launch party, expo and conversation with the region’s most knowledgeable energy coaches and top clean energy companies. This event is designed to inform all about the growing opportunities in the region and the experts and organizations that will be supporting it.

Resilient Places Training Workshop

Sustainable Hudson Valley focuses on the social and relational, and the role of public spaces in building neighborhood scale resilience. While public agencies properly concentrate on major areas of environmental risk like shorelines and floodplains, there is an urgent need to help communities plan to withstand climate stresses including storms, floods and heat waves. This work is needed in every neighborhood. The only way to accomplish this is to train many local leaders to drive the necessary changes in their neighborhoods and networks.
