The Ulster County Coolest Recycling Drive
This date is just after the close of the drive, and is a presentation about refrigerants, photo op, and chance to watch part of the Refrigerant reclamation process by Hudson Technologies.
Between 5/1 and 5/18, residents of Ulster County and neighboring counties will have multiple opportunities to drop off their old refrigerant containing devices free of charge, to be properly disposed of and recycled. There will be a primary drop off spot at the New Paltz ReUse and Recycling Center, as well as an option to drop off at the Kingston Earth Fair on 5/11 at TR Gallo Park in Kingston (Rain Location: Hutton Brickyards). At the end of the recycling drive, on 5/21 at 11 AM, the refrigerant chemicals will be safely extracted and recycled by local company Hudson Technologies.
The drive is organized by Sustainable Hudson Valley and New Yorkers for Cool Refrigerant Management, with additional support and in-kind donations from the New Paltz ReUse and Recycling Center, Hudson Technologies, Climate Smart Kingston, and New Yorkers for Clean Power.

Tivoli Artists Gallery is partnering with SHV to help raise funds for us. Other art/educational events will be held during the show April 7-May 26. The exhibit will feature images that highlight the urgent need to protect our planet and its inhabitants. There is no Planet B! TAG artists will display two and three dimensional artwork in a variety of mediums and materials including repurposed, recycled and found objects. Our Only Planet will feature themes depicting the the beauty of the environment and the life it holds as well as a reminder of the losses we are experiencing as the planet changes due to human influences.
